Boiled Yellowtail with Japanese Radish
A typical yellowtail household dish.
Boiled yellowtail with Japanese radish. This dish can be found anywhere in Japan, but it originates from the Ishikawa prefecture and the neighboring Toyama prefecture. Which sounds logic due to the abundance of yellowtail in the neighboring sea. It is commonly served at home and in bars and taverns. The fat and juicy yellowtails doesn’t lose their unique taste after being boiled. Serving it with some Japanese radish can add some sweetness to the dish. It goes well with rice and it is a good snack to have when enjoying some alcoholic beverages. It is usually served in winter.
